Will o going to?

L'inglese ha due forme principali per il futuro, e non sono intercambiabili a piacere:

1. will + forma base — per decisioni spontanee, promesse, previsioni:

  • I'll help you. (spontaneo)
  • I'll always love you. (promessa)
  • It will rain tomorrow. (previsione)

2. be going to + forma base — per intenzioni già pianificate:

  • I'm going to study French next year. (pianificato)
  • We're going to visit Berlin in July. (piano deciso)

3. Present Continuous — per appuntamenti già fissati in un futuro vicino:

  • I'm meeting Marina at seven tomorrow. (appuntamento)
  • Marcos is flying to Berlin on Friday. (biglietto già acquistato)

In breve:

  • will = decidere sul momento / prevedere
  • going to = già pianificato
  • Present Continuous = appuntamento confermato
