This page explains the cookies and similar technologies Linguine uses, and how you stay in control.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. We use only first-party cookies — set by Linguine itself, not by advertisers or trackers.
Cookies we set
| Name | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| linguine-session | Essential | Keeps you signed in across pages. | Session / up to 2 weeks |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Essential | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| cookie_consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. | 1 year |
Analytics
We measure which content is used with privacy-friendly, first-party aggregate counters. These count page visits per day — they do not profile you, set advertising cookies, or share data with third parties. If you choose "Essential only", we don't even count your visits.
Third-party cookies
We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Payment is handled by Stripe on its own checkout; "Sign in with Google" only runs if you choose it.
How to control cookies
You chose your preference in our cookie banner; to change it, clear the cookie_consent cookie and reload. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — note that blocking essential cookies will stop you from signing in.
