Regular -er and -ir Verbs
You've already drilled the regular -ar pattern. The other two regular families work the same way — drop the infinitive ending, add the right one.
| -ar (falar) | -er (comer) | -ir (abrir) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eu | falo | como | abro |
| Você / Ele / Ela | fala | come | abre |
| Nós | falamos | comemos | abrimos |
| Vocês / Eles / Elas | falam | comem | abrem |
Notice the Nós form is the only place where -er and -ir actually differ. Everywhere else they're identical.
Drill: comer (to eat)
Drill: abrir (to open)
Now combine them
