Register and Email
The same idea can be said in Italian in several registers — each with a different social distance. All five mean "send it to me":
| Expression | Register | Where you'd use it |
|---|---|---|
| Mandamelo subito. | very informal | close friends |
| Me lo mandi? | informal | a colleague you know well |
| Me lo puoi inviare? | neutral | most work situations |
| Potresti inviarmelo? | polite | a client, a superior |
| Potrebbe inviarmelo? | formal | first contact, a senior person |
In writing you stay formal, even when the conversation is casual: the medium chooses the register, not the relationship.

The business email
