Olla — the Verb 'to be'

The most important verb in Finnish is olla (to be). Each pronoun has its own ending, so clearly that Finns often drop the pronoun. And notice: there is no word for "a" or "the" — Minä olen opettaja means both "I am a teacher" and "I am the teacher".
