Reflexive Verbs

A reflexive verb is one where the subject and the object are the same person — Luana wakes herself up, Marcos shaves himself. In English we mostly skip the reflexive pronoun. In Portuguese, you cannot.

Position: after the verb in formal writing (levanto-me), before the verb in everyday Brazilian (me levanto). Both are correct — Brazilians use the second.
