New concept

Commander poliment
| English | Français |
|---|---|
| I'd like a coffee, please. | Je voudrais un café, s'il vous plaît. |
| Can I have a tea, please? | Je peux avoir un thé, s'il vous plaît ? |
| I'll have the fish and chips. | Pour moi, le fish and chips. |
| Anything else? | Autre chose ? |
| No, that's all, thanks. | Non, ce sera tout, merci. |
| To have here or to take away? | Sur place ou à emporter ? |
| Can I have the bill, please? | L'addition, s'il vous plaît. |
I'd like, c'est I would like : exactement je voudrais. À ne pas confondre avec I like, « j'aime » en général. Et comme en français, Give me a coffee (« Donnez-moi un café ») sonne sec : préfère Can I have…? ou I'd like….
L'addition, c'est the bill au Royaume-Uni (the check aux États-Unis).
