In Spanish an adjective takes the gender and number of the noun it describes — and it normally comes after the noun:

Masculine	el coche nuevo	los coches nuevos
Feminine	la casa nueva	las casas nuevas

The endings mirror the articles: -o, -a, -os, -as. Una casa bonita — a pretty house; unos libros nuevos — some new books.
