Tu o Lei? Choosing your register
From «mandamelo» to «potrebbe inviarmelo?» — five registers, the titles Italians expect, and the moment someone says «diamoci del tu».

- Lei takes the third person; the formal imperative is the congiuntivo: Mi dica · Si accomodi · Scusi.
- Titles: dottore, ingegnere, avvocato, professore — drop the -e before a name: il dottor Ferri.
- Formal words: inviare, richiedere, verificare, risolvere, La ringrazio.
- Stay on Lei until the senior person says Diamoci del tu — and the medium chooses the register.
