Três palavras para “em”
Onde o português diz sempre em — no, na, num —, o inglês escolhe entre três preposições:
| Uso | Exemplos | |
|---|---|---|
| in | dentro de algo; cidades e países | in the kitchen, in the park, in London, in Spain |
| on | sobre uma superfície; ruas | on the table, on the sofa, on the wall, on Oxford Street |
| at | um ponto ou lugar específico; eventos | at the bakery, at the bus stop, at the party |
Com ruas, no Reino Unido você também vai ouvir in: in Oxford Street.
