Just three verbs break the imperfecto pattern — and they're among the most useful verbs in the language:

• The usual habits hold: yo and él / ella share a form, and nosotros carries an accent: éramos, íbamos.
• Ver only half-breaks the rule: it keeps the e of its stem — veía, not vía.
• Everything else is regular, even the verbs that give you trouble in other tenses: tener → tenía, hacer → hacía, estar → estaba.
