Conceito novo

My: mein or meine
In English, my never changes. In German, mein (my) takes the same ending as ein / eine — and that ending depends on the thing you own, not on you:
| Noun | with ein | with mein |
|---|---|---|
| der Hund (dog) | ein Hund | mein Hund |
| das Haus (house) | ein Haus | mein Haus |
| das Handy (mobile phone) | ein Handy | mein Handy |
| die Wohnung (flat) | eine Wohnung | meine Wohnung |
| die Schlüssel (keys, plural) | — | meine Schlüssel |
One simple rule: der and das words take mein; die words and all plurals take meine. Marcos and Marina would both say mein Hund and meine Wohnung — it makes no difference who is speaking.
That's one more reason to learn every noun together with its article.
