Have + participio
Il present perfect collega il passato al momento presente. Somiglia al nostro passato prossimo: have / has + participio (has con he, she, it).
- I have visited London. — I've visited London.
- She has lost her keys. — She's lost her keys.
Nei verbi regolari il participio è uguale al passato: worked, visited, finished, travelled. Negli irregolari a volte c'è una terza forma:
| Verbo | Passato | Participio |
|---|---|---|
| be | was / were | been |
| go | went | gone |
| do | did | done |
| see | saw | seen |
| eat | ate | eaten |
| drink | drank | drunk |
| find | found | found |
| have | had | had |
| buy | bought | bought |
| lose | lost | lost |
Sempre have, mai be — anche con go: She has gone, non ~~she is gone~~. Domande e negazioni si fanno con have stesso, senza did: Have you eaten? — Yes, I have. / No, I haven't. Attenzione: she's può essere she is o she has — she's lost = she has lost.
