Detrás del verbo
En Luana me ayuda, Luana hace la acción y me la recibe. Estas palabras son pronombres de objeto. En español van delante del verbo; en inglés van detrás:
| Sujeto | Objeto | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| I | me | Luana helps me. — Luana me ayuda. |
| you | you | I love you. — Te quiero. |
| he | him | I know him. — Lo conozco. |
| she | her | I call her every day. — La llamo todos los días. |
| it | it | I want it. — Lo quiero. |
| we | us | Marcos invites us. — Marcos nos invita. |
| they | them | I see them. — Los veo. |
You e it no cambian. Y como en inglés las cosas no tienen género, cualquier cosa es it — o them, si son varias: Do you like the coat? — Yes, I love it.
Verbos para practicarlos: help (ayudar), know (conocer), call (llamar), invite (invitar), see (ver), understand (entender) y wear (llevar puesto).
