- Eins is for counting. Before a noun it becomes ein / eine: eins, zwei, drei — but ein Euro, eine Tasse.
- On the phone you'll often hear zwo for zwei, so it can't be mistaken for drei.
- z sounds like English ts: zehn is “tsayn”, zwei is “tsvy”.
