La Routine Quotidiana
Azioni quotidiane, l'ora e i numeri fino a 100
- 1
I get up: la routine senza «mi»
Svegliarsi, alzarsi, farsi la doccia… in inglese senza pronome riflessivo — e con la -s di «she gets up».
Lektion öffnen- La routine in inglese va senza pronome riflessivo: I get up, I get dressed — mai I get me up.
- wake up è svegliarsi; get up è alzarsi.
- have = fare colazione, pranzare, farsi la doccia, prendere qualcosa: have breakfast, have lunch, have a shower, have a coffee — mai take a coffee.
- Con he / she / it, verbo + -s: she gets up; -es dopo -sh, -ch, -s, -x, -o: washes, goes.
- have → has: He has a shower.

Numbers 20–100: età e prezzi
Da twenty a a hundred — come dire l'età senza «avere anni» e come leggere un prezzo in sterline.
Lektion öffnen- Decine: twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety; 100 = a hundred.
- Decina + trattino + unità: thirty-five, ninety-nine. Forty, senza u.
- -teen ha l'accento alla fine (fifTEEN); -ty all'inizio (FIFty).
- L'età va con be: I'm 32 (years old) — mai I have 32 years. Domanda: How old are you?
- Soldi: pounds e pence — £2.50 è two pounds fifty. How much is it?
- 3
What time is it? L'ora in inglese
O'clock, half past, quarter to — e perché l'ora in inglese comincia sempre con «it».
Lektion öffnen- What time is it? (singolare!) — It's seven o'clock: l'ora vuole sempre it.
- past = e, to = meno: quarter past seven (7:15), quarter to eight (7:45).
- half past seven = 7:30; nel Regno Unito anche half seven.
- O'clock solo con l'ora esatta.
- at + ora: at eight; in the morning / afternoon / evening, ma at night.
- What time is…? — A che ora è…?
- 4
A day in Marina's life
Segui Marina dalla mattina alla sera a Londra — e chiedi della routine degli altri con «does».
Lektion öffnen- Alla terza persona il verbo prende la -s: she wakes up, she leaves, she watches TV.
- What time do you…? / What time does she…? — domande sulla routine.
- Con does il verbo va senza -s: Does she get up early?
- wake up (svegliarsi) non è la stessa cosa di get up (alzarsi).
- take the Tube — prendere la metro; sulla scala mobile, stand on the right.
