| I'd like a coffee, please. | Quería un café, por favor. |
| Can I have a tea, please? | ¿Me pones un té, por favor? |
| I'll have the fish and chips. | Para mí, el fish and chips. |
| Anything else? | ¿Algo más? |
| No, that's all, thanks. | No, nada más, gracias. |
| To have here or to take away? | ¿Para tomar aquí o para llevar? |
| Can I have the bill, please? | ¿Me trae la cuenta, por favor? |
I'd like es I would like: «me gustaría», «quería». No lo confundas con I like, «me gusta», en general. Y aunque en España Ponme un café es de lo más normal, en inglés Give me a coffee suena brusco: mejor Can I have…? o I'd like….
La cuenta es the bill en el Reino Unido (the check en EE. UU.).
