Going to…

The everyday way to talk about the future is ir in the present + an infinitive — just like English going to:

Pronoun Ir + infinitive English
eu vou viajar I'm going to travel
você / ele / ela vai ficar you're / he's / she's going to stay
nós vamos comer we're going to eat
vocês / eles / elas vão sair you're / they're going to go out

Only ir changes; the second verb stays in the infinitive. A gente takes vai, as usual: A gente vai viajar.

In conversation, this is the future — it covers English will as well: Amanhã eu vou trabalhar. — I'll be working tomorrow.
