Watch out for la librairie: it looks like library, but it's a bookshop — a place where you buy books. A library is la bibliothèque.

To ask where something is: Où est… ? — Où est la gare ? The answer might be C'est ici. (It's here.) or C'est là-bas. (It's over there.)
