To stress a plan — I'm going to — use aikoa + the basic infinitive:

• Aion hiihtää. — I'm going to ski.
• Aiotko opiskella suomea? — Are you going to study Finnish?
• Mitä aiot tehdä kesällä? — What are you going to do in the summer?

Watch the gradation k → nothing: aion, aiot, aiomme, aiotte — but hän aikoo, he aikovat.
