In this lesson's story, Marina and Luana go clothes shopping for a party. Here's the language of the shop floor and the till:

Spanish English
Disculpe. / Perdone. Excuse me. (to usted)
¿Tiene…? — ¿Tiene esta falda en verde? Do you have…? — Do you have this skirt in green?
Es un poco caro. It's a bit expensive.
elegante smart, elegant
¿Algo más? Anything else?
Nos llevamos los dos. We'll take both.
¿Cómo va a pagar? How are you paying?
Con tarjeta. / En efectivo. By card. / In cash.

With friends you say tú. With an older shop assistant — or whenever you simply want to be polite — use usted, which takes the él / ella form of the verb: ¿Tiene…?, ¿Me puede ayudar? Disculpe and perdone are the usted versions of perdona.
