Neues Konzept

Höflich bestellen

English Deutsch
I'd like a coffee, please. Ich hätte gern einen Kaffee.
Can I have a tea, please? Kann ich einen Tee haben? / Ich bekomme einen Tee, bitte.
I'll have the fish and chips. Ich nehme Fish and Chips.
Anything else? Sonst noch etwas?
No, that's all, thanks. Nein, das ist alles, danke.
To have here or to take away? Für hier oder zum Mitnehmen?
Can I have the bill, please? Kann ich bitte die Rechnung haben?

I'd like ist I would like: ich hätte gern, ich möchte. Verwechsle es nicht mit I like – ich mag, ganz allgemein. Und das direkte I want a coffee klingt auf Englisch schnell fordernd: Besser Can I have…? oder I'd like….

Die Rechnung heißt in Großbritannien the bill (in den USA the check).
